چکیده

Objective: To review the relevant literature on use of atrioventricular node ablation and pacing in patients with heart failure atrial fibrillation. Methods: APubMed/MEDLINE SCOPUS search was performed order to assess clinical outcomes pacemaker implantation, as well complications that may occur. Results: Several trials, observational analyses meta-analyses have shown “pace ablate” strategy not only improves symptoms but also can enhance cardiac performance Although this procedure is effective safe, some occur including worsening failure, permanent fibrillation, arrhythmias sudden death. Regarding resynchronization therapy be optimal choice compared right ventricle apical pacing. His bundle a promising alternative has beneficial effects, while left branch an innovative modality. Conclusions: Atrioventricular implantation effects fibrillation ± who do respond or are intolerant medical treatment. Cardiac treatment seems way these patients.

Benefits of Permanent His Bundle Pacing Combined With Atrioventricular Node Ablation in Atrial Fibrillation Patients With Heart Failure With Both Preserved and Reduced Left Ventricular Ejection Fraction

BACKGROUND Clinical benefits from His bundle pacing (HBP) in heart failure patients with preserved and reduced left ventricular ejection fraction are still inconclusive. This study evaluated clinical outcomes of permanent HBP in atrial fibrillation patients with narrow QRS who underwent atrioventricular node ablation for heart failure symptoms despite rate control by medication. METHODS AND R...

Synergistic effects of cardiac resynchronization therapy and Bachmann's bundle pacing on heart failure with atrial tachyarrhythmias.

Cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) is electrical resynchronization of the ventricles. Bachmann's bundle (BB) pacing is considered to be electrical resynchronization of the atria. Atrial fibrillation (AF) and congestive heart failure (HF) often coexist in the same patient. A 69 year-old man who underwent CRT combined with BB pacing for HF and atrial tachycardias or atrial fibrillation (AF) ...

Permanent His-bundle pacing after atrioventricular node ablation in a patient with chronic atrial fibrillation and mitral regurgitation.

Hemodynamic deterioration because of worsening of mitral regurgitation can occur in a small number of patients undergoing atrioventricular node (AVN) ablation and pacing therapy. Patients with moderate mitral regurgitation before ablation seem prone to this complication. Successful permanent His-bundle pacing after AVN ablation was performed in a patient with chronic atrial fibrillation and mod...

The 'Happy Ending Problem' of cardiac pacing? Cardiac resynchronization therapy for patients with atrial fibrillation and heart failure after atrioventricular junction ablation.

A particular analogy can be drawn between this so-called unsolved problem in mathematics and the still unsolved problem of treatment of patients with heart failure (HF) associated with atrial fibrillation. Patients with HF and atrial fibrillation represent a subgroup of patients that encounters additional difficulties when compared with patients in sinus rhythm (SR). Most available studies, whi...

His Bundle Pacing Or Biventricular Pacing For Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy In Heart Failure: Discovering New Methods For An Old Problem.

Heart failure (HF) is one of the biggest epidemics of modern cardiovascular medicine. Cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) with biventricular (BiV) pacing has proven to have an integral role in the management of patients with reduced left ventricular (LV) function and left bundle branch blocks (LBBB). However, CRT with BiV pacing is not always feasible and even when it is, the percentage of ...
